Mixboard is powered by Gemini 2.5 Flash, Google’s AI model, which enables users to build boards starting from ready-made templates or by issuing simple text prompts. For example, users can type instructions such as “show me Memphis-style cups and plates” or “set up an autumn-themed party in my living room” to generate relevant images. In addition, users may upload their own photos, mixing them with AI-generated visuals to shape unique boards. The tool is positioned as a creative assistant for diverse scenarios, from planning home interiors to organizing social events, drawing a parallel with Pinterest’s popular inspiration boards.
What sets Mixboard apart is its strong reliance on AI for interactivity and customization. Users can refine their moodboards using natural language commands to adjust layouts, combine images, or request stylistically consistent graphics based on a reference photo.
