The iPhone Air is now free without a trade-in at Verizon – yep, that’s $1,000 off

Verizon has just unveiled a brand new promotion on the iPhone Air – one that lets you get this stunningly thin new flagship for free alongside a new line.

Unlike before, no trade-ins are currently needed to be eligible for this deal, which makes it a perfect option if you’re coming in fresh but still want a high-end device. The iPhone Air currently retails for just shy of $1,000, so you’re getting a lot of phone for your money here.

As always, it’s not quite a free lunch as Verizon still requires you to take out a new line on one of its pricey unlimited postpaid plans. In this case, it’s a line on the highest-end Ultimate plan, which can cost anywhere from $90 to $55 per month per line, depending on how many lines your plan has.

That will incur a significant cost over 36 months, but this deal is still definitely worth checking out. Not only do you get one of the latest iPhones without even having to trade in, but you’ll also get a really high-end plan with the fastest possible data, unlimited mobile hotspot, and 4K/Ultra HD video streaming.

You’re really spoilt for choice right now for iPhone 17 deals at Verizon. If you are looking to trade, then you could consider going for the iPhone 17 Pro right now, considering it’s free with a trade-in and new line on the Ultimate plan. Verizon is also throwing in an iPad right now as a bonus gift with the Pro, which is pretty cool, but you do have to pay for a corresponding accessory cellular line, so it’s not a total ‘freebie’.

Another great option if you’re looking to skip the trade-in is the standard iPhone 17. That’s free right now with a new line, and you don’t need a super high-end plan either, which is a significant bonus. For my money, though, I’d probably go for the stunning new iPhone Air since it’s a higher valued device ($999 versus $799).
