Some Black Friday deals are very good. Others should be avoided. And sometimes, the most attractive discounts on offer in November aren’t even labelled as being anything to do with Black Friday.
Our exclusive deal on Norton VPN falls into the third category – an excellently priced offer to anybody in the US, Canada, UK or Australia that doesn’t specifically mention Black Friday, Cyber Monday, Sales Season or any other banner you might imagine.
Norton VPN deal vs The best of Black Friday
1. NordVPN Basic– $3.09 $2.99 per month + 3 months extra
NordVPN is the crème de la crème of modern VPNa – it excels in every department. But our latest testing showed that Norton VPN isn’t a million miles behind and seems to be improving all the time.
Its offer is more appealing than Nord’s, too. To start with, it’s an effective $0.49 per month cheaper, and you’ll only be committed for one year instead of 27 months. As you’ll read below, too, Norton’s deal is on its premium Plus and Ultimate plans – not the Basic tier like Nord’s.
2. Surfshark One – $2.49 $2.19 per month + 3 months extra
Surfshark is perennially at the top of our best cheap VPN guide, so it’s no surprise to see it drop something impressive in the name of Black Friday. And this is on its One package, which also includes antivirus and a safe web browser.
Norton is a bit pricier here, but again has the lure of not keeping you locked in to one provider or price for too long; the Surfshark deal is on plans that last for two years and three months.
3. PrivadoVPN – $1.11 per month + 3 months free
PrivadoVPN’s ‘Holiday Deal’ is very eye-catching indeed, with a remarkably low effective monthly price for the next 27 months.
However, you’ll need to contend with a couple of caveats if you go with this provider, as per our PrivadoVPN review. It only offers 60 server locations in 49 countries, for example, compared to Norton’s 104 total locations. And, unlike Norton’s jam-packed Plus and Ultimate tiers, Privado is somewhat short of features.
4. Proton VPN – $3.59 $2.49 per month
Proton VPN and Norton VPN are locked at the same price (give or take one cent), but Norton again has an advantage for commitment-phobes in that its deal is for 12 months rather than 24.
Proton, however, does edge things when it comes to our star ratings, being awarded 4.5 in our latest review. That was largely thanks to its extensive global coverage and custom Stealth protocol for bypassing VPN blocks.
5. FastestVPN – EXCLUSIVE $30 lifetime plan with password manager
Pay $30 now (using code FUTUREBF2025) and get FastestVPN for as long as you want it. That’s an unusual and very attractive proposition that blows a lot of other VPN deals out of the water.
That said, it also means a lifetime using an inferior VPN service. In our FastestVPN review, we cited a limited server network, inconsistent speeds and underpowered apps as all reasons why it falls short of the competition… including Norton VPN.
Norton VPN deal – all you need to know
This excellent VPN deal applies to Norton VPN’s Plus and Ultimate plans (so excludes the entry-level Standard tier), which means you also get the benefit of some excellent added extras.
No matter what plan you choose, you get the benefit of privacy and website unblocking on five devices, privacy reassurances from its Double VPN, Kill Switch and IP Rotation tools, and an integrated ad blocker.
Norton VPN Plus adds AI-powered scam detection, together with protection from malware and ransomware. It also throws in 10GB of secure cloud backup, a dark web monitoring tool, and a handy password manager.
Or take advantage of the reduced price on its all-singing, all-dancing Norton VPN Ultimate plan. It comprises all of the goodies above, but lets you use them on up to 10 devices – so that’s the family covered, too. It increases the cloud backup to 50GB capacity, and also gives you access to parental controls to give you greater oversight of your kids’ online life.
