Motorola has introduced two new smartphones—the moto g (2026) and moto g play (2026)—expanding its value-tier lineup with devices that combine modern performance, strong camera systems, and 5G connectivity at accessible prices. Both models emphasize the brand’s goal of delivering premium features to budget-conscious consumers.

The moto g (2026) focuses on high performance and versatility. It features a 6.7-inch display with 1000 nits peak brightness and a 120Hz refresh rate, ensuring vivid visuals and smooth scrolling. Its 50MP AI-powered camera with Quad Pixel Technology promises detailed photos and reliable performance in various lighting conditions. Powered by 5G connectivity, the device enables seamless streaming, browsing, and multitasking. A 5200mAh battery supports up to two days of use on a single charge, minimizing the need for frequent recharging.

Availability for the moto g (2026) begins December 11 in the United States, where it will be sold universally unlocked on motorola.com, followed by Best Buy and Amazon.com on January 15, with an MSRP of $199.99 (pricing varies by carrier). It will also launch through multiple carriers, including Verizon, T-Mobile, AT&T, Cricket Wireless, and others, with broader rollout in the following months. In Canada, sales start December 11 on motorola.ca, with later availability through select national retailers and carriers.

The moto g play (2026) is designed for reliability and everyday use, offering similar display quality and improved connectivity. It includes a 6.7-inch HD+ screen with 120Hz refresh rate and High Brightness mode, providing clear and smooth visuals. The device introduces 5G support to the moto g play series for the first time, enhancing streaming and browsing speed. Its 32MP AI-assisted camera with Quad Pixel technology ensures detailed and colorful images. Like its sibling, it houses a 5200mAh battery capable of lasting two days per charge.

The moto g play (2026) will be available November 13 in the U.S. from motorola.com, BestBuy.com, and Amazon.com for $179.99. It will later reach additional online and in-store carriers, including T-Mobile, Verizon, Cricket Wireless, and others. In Canada, the phone launches the same day on motorola.ca.
