While the day itself is technically still 2 weeks away, if you had any doubt that the Black Friday sales in Australia are already delivering some outstanding deals, this Sony discount should clear up any misgivings. If you have “noise cancelling headphones” on your Black Friday wishlist, it’s currently possible to pick up the excellent Sony WH-1000XM4 for their lowest Aussie price ever – and it’s even direct from the Sony Store itself.

Despite their relative vintage, we continue to place the XM4s amongst the best headphones you can buy – that’s despite an onslaught of competition arriving in the five years since they were first released, including two replacement models from Sony itself.

That fact alone should be enough to persuade you to invest in a pair, but just in case it isn’t, how about the fact they’re now down to an astonishingly low price of AU$260.95 at the Sony Store, courtesy of a couple of stackable discount codes.

To get the low deal price here, there are a couple of things you need to do. The first is to sign up for a My Sony account, which will reward you with a welcome coupon for 10% off your order (note that this is capped at AU$150 for TVs and AU$50 for all other eligible products). You also need to enter the code HOLIDAYSAVE at checkout, which entitles you to an additional AU$40 saving.

Stack these two coupons and you arrive at the AU$260.95 deal price mentioned above. You also stand to save an extra AU$30 if you trade in a pair of qualifying headphones – any pair from Apple, Bose, Beats, Samsung or Sony. If it were us, however, we’d try our hand at selling an older pair on an online marketplace to hopefully get more than AU$30.

You can also use the same stackable coupons to secure the slightly newer Sony WH-1000XM5 headphones. We didn’t think they offered that much of an upgrade at launch, especially for the higher list price. But now they can be picked up for just under AU$333 via the same stackable coupons, they deserve a recommendation.

Sony’s Black Friday deals won’t last forever, so head to the Sony Store today and grab apair of highly capable cans for their lowest Aussie price.
