In our in-depth Kanto Ren review, we gave these speakers the full five stars: to summarize them in just one word, they’re “ace”. As we explained, “With HDMI ARC, optical, USB-C, RCA and 3.5mm aux inputs, and with strong Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity besides, this is the does-everything bookshelf hi-fi system that most people spend a long time putting together piece by piece – and it sounds brilliant”.
There’s a lot of punch here – 100W RMS – and they deliver a rich, compelling sound with an incredible dynamic response that makes them an excellent option for TV, movies and gaming as well as for music. They’re also really good monitors for music production.
A lot of speakers have clearly been beaten with the ugly stick, but not here: the Ren speakers are good-looking things and they come in some great color options including an absolutely gorgeous Matte Orange as well as more sober shades.
