Xiaomi has unveiled in China the Mijia Three-Zone Pro Drum 10kg Washing Machine, introducing a futuristic approach to home laundry that stands out for its three independent drums. The model comes just days after the company launched a similar version with only two drums, expanding possibilities for more efficient and hygienic laundry care.
The main highlight is the three-compartment system, which allows users to wash different types of clothing at the same time without the risk of cross-contamination. Smaller loads can be placed in the upper compartments, while the central drum accommodates larger quantities. Each drum has its own independent water channel and suspension system, helping to reduce both noise and vibration during operation.
Another key feature is Xiaomi’s Super Electrolysis Technology, designed to set a new standard in washing performance. This innovation enhances stain removal and improves whitening results, offering superior cleaning compared to conventional washing machines.
Like its two-drum predecessor, the new model also features an automatic detergent dosing system that distributes the optimal amount of detergent for each drum. This reduces waste, leaves fewer residues on fabrics, and makes clothes feel softer and fresher after washing. The appliance also offers multiple wash cycles, including a convenient quick-wash option for everyday needs.
Technology integration is another major factor. The washing machine connects to Xiaomi HyperOS Connect, enabling full remote control via mobile app. Users can schedule cycles, adjust settings, and monitor progress directly from their smartphones, seamlessly integrating the appliance into Xiaomi’s smart home ecosystem.
The product will be initially be available only in China for 9,999 CNY (~$1405). Xiaomi has not yet released details about global availability or prices outside China, though based on the company’s track record, it is expected to be competitively priced within the premium appliance segment.
