An AirTag saved my lost bag – and right now, they’re at their lowest price ever for Amazon Prime Day

Anytime one of Amazon’s shopping events – like Prime Day or, kicking off tomorrow, Prime Big Deal Days – rolls around, there’s a good chance to find savings on a whole host of things. One of the first things I always scout on Amazon is Apple’s AirTag, and now, before this shopping event even starts, the price has dropped to a near-record low.

Right now, a four-pack of Apple AirTags is down to just $64.99 – that’s just $0.50 more than the best-ever price we’ve tracked. And as I’ve written about at length, I won’t travel without an AirTag, and I learned that lesson after United Airlines lost my bag and didn’t know where it was.

Considering this gets you four of Apple’s item trackers, you’re actually only paying $16 and change for each tracker. And that’s less than the price of a single AirTag on Amazon right now – it’s down to $19.99 from $24.99. AirTags have sold out in the past with these strong discounts, so if you’ve been considering getting your first or adding another one (or two, three, or four), now’s an excellent time to do it.

Apple’s AirTag is, for iPhone owners, one of the most effortless item trackers to use. It starts with an easy pairing and then automatically syncs with your iCloud account, living within the Find My app. This way, you can name it and set an emoji icon, but also easily see where it is on a map.

And as rolled out in partnerships with airlines, if your luggage does go missing with an AirTag inside, you can now share that tracker with your airline to help you get reunited with your bag sooner. United Airlines, as well as countless others, has adopted this and for good reason.

Beyond the easy tracking and precision finding, which turns finding your lost keys in the couch cushions into a game, I also really like that the battery inside the AirTag is user-replaceable. It lasts for about a year, and it’s not a special battery; you don’t need to visit an Apple Store to find it – it’s a standard CR2032 battery, which can be found on Amazon or at your local drug store.
