This makes it very easy for any new player to adapt to this game.

After changing the control layout, I hopped onto a TDM match on the Snow Park map, which appears to be inspired by the Hangar map in BGMI. The overall character movements, motion mechanism, and placement of score graphics and live feed are strikingly similar in both games. In fact, if you flinch your eyes, it becomes difficult to identify whether you are playing BGMI or Scarfall 2.0.

What impressed us the most was the optimisation. The game was already running at 60fps, and we did not encounter any lag or frame drops. Even during close combat fights, the bullet shorts registered properly without any desync issues. For a new game, this is an excellent achievement.

The gun recoil pattern, gun sounds, and sliding mechanism are also similar to those of BGMI. In fact, if you keep the control layout the same, Scarfall 2.0 will feel like a themed version of BGMI. Even the guns are the same across them, with just different names.

The ranking system is also similar in both games, but Scarfall 2.0 uses Hindi-inspired titles for each rank. You start from Nausikhiya and climb all the way to Samrat, which is nothing but going from Bronze to Conqueror in BGMI.

We then turned out to the classic match, which currently offers two maps: Mumbai and Andaman. Here’s where the differences start, as both of these maps are unique and reflect the true nature of Mumbai city and the Andaman Islands.

What Makes Scarfall 2.0 Different From BGMI?

The biggest differentiator for Scarfall 2.0 is the Mumbai map. It is currently the only map for a pure battle royale match, as the Andaman map gives you three respawns. What makes it truly unique is how accurately it reflects the actual Mumbai city.

It consists of places such as the iconic Chattrapati Shivaji Maharaj Railway Station, Gateway of India, Dadar station, Mumbai Airport, a replica of the Wankhede Stadium, and much more. It also has local trains that stop at each station, which you can board and move across the map.

The Mumbai map in Scarfall 2.0 truly reflects the city in its real form, and it actually feels like the game is being played in Mumbai. Such experience is unmatched even in themed modes of BGMI. The game has also included the traditional kaali-peeli taxi, which you can drive around the map as a vehicle.

Another key difference between Scarfall 2.0 and BGMI is the weapon names. Although both share the same guns and ammo, the popular M416 is renamed as the AR-Rowdy16, the DP-28 is called the MG-Destroyer, and so on. It can take a while to remember and adapt to the new names. But once you pick up any weapon, you can instantly relate to its BGMI counterpart from the shape, sound, and recoil of that particular gun.

Interestingly, Scarfall 2.0 also has a helicopter, which you can actually fly around the map. However, it has very limited HP and can be shot down by enemies easily.

Apart from these, Scarfall 2.0 and BGMI are almost the same games. If you have ever played BGMI before, it will take you less than 5 minutes to get used to the UI and overall game physics of Scarfall 2.0.
