Nothing’s cool noise-cancelling headphones have hit a record-low price that makes them even more tempting

Nothing and its sub-brand CMF are doing some really interesting things with headphones right now, such as CMF’s Headphone Pro. And the crown for most out-there headphones belongs to the Nothing Headphone (1), whose design means you definitely won’t mistake them for any other set of over-ears.

Right now those headphones are available with decent discounts: they’re down from $299 to $254 on Amazon US, and reduced even more on Amazon UK: there, the Nothing Headphone (1) are down from £299 to just £224. In both cases, that’s a record-low price.

These are very smart headphones, with highly effective noise cancellation, great comfort, and solid build quality. They’re in direct competition with the best noise-cancelling headphones, and with these discounts they undercut many of the big names.

Also, they make you look like one of Dr Who’s Cybermen. You can’t say that about a set of Sonys.

Why there’s nothing like the Nothing Headphone (1)

The Nothing Headphone (1) look like no other headphones: there’s a distinct echo of the OG Sony Walkman in their design. But as we said in our Nothing Headphone (1) review, while they may look retro there’s nothing old-fashioned about their features. They include tweakable ANC, useful audio customization, USB-C lossless audio and spatial audio too.

This isn’t a case of style over substance, or of design taking precedence over comfort. We found the Headphone (1) to be supremely comfortable and very well-made.

Spec-wise you’re looking at 40mm dynamic drivers, a frequency response of 20Hz to 40kHz, Bluetooth 5.3 with LDAC, and IP52 water and dust resistance.

Call us Nostradamus, but as we said in our review: “If (well, when) they get a price drop, these could be great headphones.” If you’ll pardon the grammar: that when is now.
