The first Ashes Test is here and you can watch Australia vs England live streams to see who gains the upper hand in what is predicted to be a tight series. Taking place at the Perth Stadium and getting underway on Friday, both sides will be determined to lay down a marker in the first of five Ashes Test matches.

There is little doubt that Australia start day one in Perth as the favorites thanks to their hugely impressive home record. The Baggy Greens have won eight of the last nine Ashes series on home soil, claiming the last three with a 13-0 scoreline. They also boast an impressive record of late in Test cricket, having dominated the West Indies in the summer to claim a fourth consecutive series victory.

The hosts will be without captain Pat Cummins (who hopes to return by the second Test) but will be in safe hands in stand-in Steve Smith, who averages 54.50 in home Tests against England. However, Australia’s attack has taken a hit as Josh Hazlewood will join Cummins on the sidelines, meaning Scott Boland and Brendan Doggett will start in Perth.

England have no such injury worries and will be hoping their pace attack of Mark Wood, Jofra Archer, Brydon Carse, Gus Atkinson and captain Ben Stokes can prove the difference. Brendon McCullum’s side may have history against them, with England not winning a first Test of an overseas Ashes series since 1986, but they will believe that ‘Bazball’ can deliver when it matters most and deliver a victory over the old enemy.

Read on, and we will show you how to watch Australia vs England live streams wherever you are, including free options.
